VILLBAU Security Systems Ltd. was founded in 1986, by its owner, Mr. Jozsef Vass, in Budapest, Hungary. In the eighties the company mainly dealt with sales and installation of electrical systems. In the beginning of the nineties - primarily due to the political and social changes in the region - a significant demand aroused for security equipments, so VILLBAU moved to the market of intrusion alarm systems. The first step was distributing home security systems and manufacturing various accessories, like security AC line transformers and power supplies. In 1996 we developed a siren family under the brand name SOLO, which proved to be a great success in both the Hungarian and the International market.

As home and commercial intrusion and fire alarm systems had become more commonly used, the demand for alarm monitoring has been increased. At VILLBAU, we developed the ENIGMA central monitoring station for telephone line and long-range radio monitoring, and the ALARM-SYS monitoring software package for PC - providing together a complete solution for central monitoring stations. These products, as a result of the permanent development and improvement, are by now among the leading brands in the market of monitoring equipment.
